Chateau Tournefeuille La Cure 2015 Lalande de Pomerol Bordeaux 13.5%
80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
2000 bottles produced from each vintage.
Sired from 61 years old vines planted in 1957, 500 metres from the famous Chateau Petrus. This is a magnificent wine. For me this is a sort of mini Petrus, similar in style but at a fraction of the price. Delicious, velvety, plump, juicy, penetrating dark cassis and raspberry fruit character, beautifully balanced with toasty oak dark chocolate notes. This is complex and Outstanding. Remarkable value for its quality and pedigree.
“Château Tournefeuille La Cure 2015 90/100 The 2015 Tournefeuille La Cure is matured in 100% new oak. It has a lifted redcurrant and raspberry scented bouquet with hints of clove and pencil lead developing with aeration. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, quite firm in the mouth with a spicy, black pepper tinged finish that feels long and tender. Enjoy this bright and vivacious Lalande-de-Pomerol over the next six or seven years. 03/2018.” -- Neal Martin
