Chateau Haut-Vignoble Seguin 2014 Saint Estephe Bordeaux 13%
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc.
The name "Haut-Vignoble", i.e. "high vineyard", refers to a privileged hilltop situation on well-drained gravel and sandy soil, overlooking the valley. Haut-Vignoble Seguin's vineyard produces typical fresh, masculine and well-structured Saint-Estèphe Cabernets, enhanced with the smoother Merlot adding fruit and harmony. Château Haut-Vignoble Seguin can be consumed early or kept for a few years.
Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months This is a powerful, striking, bright, dynamic red wine.
Ruby-red colours. Beautiful nose with aromas of violets, blackcurrants, spice and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced oak and fruit mingling together in an exquisite harmonious embrace, finishing with an immensely long, lingering wonderful melody that just goes on and on. This is terrific.
