Chateau Bassac 2016 Bordeaux 13%
60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc
Gold medal Concours Agricole de Paris 2017.
Located in the municipality Sainte-Foy-La-Longue between the two famous rivers of the region, the Garonne and Dordogne. Château Bassac is the property of the Joanchicoy’s family since 1927.
Today, Henri Joanchicoy, the third generation, is known for the excellent quality of his wine. This is a typical representative of well-crafted terroir wines in the Bordeaux blend on clay and limestone soil.
Beautiful ruby red colour, juicy and fruity on the nose with blueberry, blackberry and straw, with a fine sweetness/acidity balance, a bouquet of red fruits, an elegant and easy drinking structure on the palate. Ready to drink today, and immediately pleasing. It will also happily cellar for a couple of years.
